The Atkins diet does not completely restrict carbohydrates. Instead, it recommends getting your source of carbohydrates from high fiber foods, which turn into glucose slower than simple sugars. With the right combination of carbs, fats and proteins, you can increase your metabolism, burn your stored fats, and refrain from experiencing hungry cravings.
