How to Lower High Cholesterol Levels Naturally

Every year governments spend billions of dollars on drugs in the attempt to lower the epidemic that is high cholesterol; however despite these huge investments, heart disease remains the number one killer in the western world.

However, a ray of light has shone through and new research has revealed that thousands of people with high cholesterol have been able to reverse their condition through non-medical intervention. They achieved a reversal as a direct consequence of a change in their dietary habits. Did you know that the major influence on cholesterol levels is diet? What you consume has a profound effect on whether you have high or normal levels of cholesterol.

I'm sure if you have been diagnosed as having a high cholesterol level you will be taking some form of traditional medicine to bring it down. But, you should know, it can never be cured through traditional methods.

Traditional medicine is effective at fighting Cholesterol through a drug regime, but the drugs merely treat the symptoms of the disease not the root cause.

Unfortunately, the modern way of living and the fast food culture of consuming sugars, sweets, biscuits, chocolate, crisps, coffee, cola, fats, fried foods, alcohol, vinegar, and high carbs, all contribute to an imbalance within the body, with high cholesterol being the initial way the imbalance manifest itself.

It is a fact that cholesterol is not a disease but a signal that damage has occurred internally.

So how do we remedy and heal the inner body? By cleansing the body from the inside, rebalancing and giving the body good nutrition, allowing it to rest and heal. But most importantly to stop pumping the body with refined, processed and fatty foods.

There are a few changes that you can start right now in your battle to lower your cholesterol.

First and foremost you must cut down your daily intake of the foods I have listed above until you are not consuming them at all! I know it's not going to be easy but if you want to avoid a stroke or heart attack you have to make it a priority.

There are alternatives, which are more appetising and satisfying. For example:

Use olive oil blended with herbs and lemon juice on your salads
Copy the Italians and use an olive oil spread to moisten your bread, and make sure that any margerine you use does not contain trans fats. I recommend Benecol or Olivio spreads.
Try and cut back on high carb foods. Eating a low carb diet will lead to weight loss, reduction in serum triglyceride level, and increase the HDL (good) cholesterol.
Take fish oils, up to 4 grams daily. It will raise good HDL.
Drink pomegranate juice.
Nibble walnuts and almonds four or five times a week.
Bake and steam your food instead of frying.
Consume all the berries, including strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.
Avoid red meats and eat fish 3 times a week. Include wild salmon, tuna, sardines and bluefish to your diet
If you must have alcohol, only drink moderate amounts, 12oz beer, 4oz wine, or a shot of spirits 1 1/2oz. This can be drunk 3 to 4 days a week.

Reversing Cholesterol is quite straightforward and can be done following a low-carb diet and using natural, healthy, complimentary medicine.

It's time to stop consuming toxic matter that is poisoning your body!! It's time to escape the deadly "Cholesterol Trap"
