The Low Carb Diet Problem

6 Reasons why you shouldn't ever attempt this diet!

1.) Low carbohydrate diets do lower cholesterol and Triglyceride levels, and promote rapid weight loss in the beginning, but at what cost? The truth is low carbohydrate diets are harmful to your health. They bring on to much fat and not nearly enough dietary variegation. No diet should ever ask that you refrain from fruits and veggies.

2.) Low carbohydrate diets make you feel sad and stressed out. Seriously, a recent study followed over 100 dieters. Half of them used a carbohydrate depravation diet. These dieters reported higher than normal levels of stress. They were snapping at loved ones and so on. This is because low carb diets cook your brain. Carbohydrates help to regulate your moods and increase stress-reducing chemicals.

3.) The weight loss obtained through low carbohydrate diets just does not last. Sooner or later you will crash and hit a wall. Most low carbohydrate dieters report binging and over eating large amounts of carbs, there by starting to erase their weight loss success! Also when you begin to lose weight during your low carb diet it first is water weight. Ok so on the surface this is good. But upon stopping a low carb routine your body will over store water, leaving you with much higher water retention.

4.) Low Carbohydrate Diets Bloat your Tummy. The real reason you can't zip up those pants. The National Institute of Digestive Diseases shows that Tummy bloat is a key symptom of constipation, and in turn constipation is very common with low carbohydrate diets.

5.) You Will Feel Deprived. Remember that wall we were discussing? Well Low-carb diets fail when dieters begin to crave carbs. The University of Toronto did a recent study of almost 90 women, half of them used card deprivation, and of course the other half did not.

After only 72 hours, All women were given breakfast and told to eat as much they wanted, the women on the carb deprivation diet stuffed themselves (like shipped wrecked cannibals), while the other women seem to eat average size portions and stuck with their current diets. At the end of the day: If you stop eating carbohydrates completely then it maybe next to impossible not to binge later, especially at social events

6.) Lowered T3 levels. When you reduce carbohydrate levels it is possible to reduce to point where your T3 levels drop. This is bad; T3 is a thyroid molecule that helps to regulate a givens person's metabolic rate. When this happens your body's metabolic rate will lower. The effect is starvation mode; your body stops losing weight and begins to eat your muscle. This is also seen when dieters eat way too little and exercise way too much.
