The world of dieting and fat loss is full of tips and advice. Some of this advice is good, some isn't. Many people still believe that if the starve themselves or run a round in bin bags they'll lose weight, although they might lose weight in the short term it won't stay off, they'll probably get fatter because as soon as they stop the fad they'll go back to eating junk food with less muscle than they had before. You need to eat fat
Many people think that eating fat will make them fat they try and avoid it and cut it out of their diet all together. Whilst saturated fat is bad for you mono unsaturated fat can help reduce cholesterol and the risk of heart disease, eating these good fats can even help you lose weight. Some foods that contain good fat are Nuts, olive oil and fish, oily fish like trout and mackerel are best.
Eat Low GI Carbohydrates
Low GI Diets are also becoming very popular these days, carbohydrate is your bodies preferred source of energy but some foods like cakes and soft drinks contain sugary carbohydrate these "simple carbs" will store on your body as fat if the energy they contain is not used straightaway. A low carbohydrate diet can leave you feeling tired and lethargic, low gi carbohydrate rich foods release their energy slowly so it is not stored on your body as fat. Low gi foods include brown rice and wholemeal bread.
