What is the Normal Cholesterol Level?

What is the normal cholesterol level? This is a question asked often and there are numbers that will have to be sprouted out, however, knowing the numbers will not ensure that you would understand what they would mean or how to analyze them. Some make the mistake of having a lab test taken and if they read the low results they give themselves a pat in the back. A few months later they have a heart attack. But why should that happen, all the numbers were within normal range or low?

Doctor studies for more than twenty years to learn all there is to know about the human body and they still don't know a lot. How do you think a layman with little or no medical background be able to analyze what for doctors took them years to perfect? A simple blood test will reveal the normal cholesterol level, but a technician will not be able to analyze it like a specialist can. Here are some numbers: TOTAL CHOLESTEROL = 40 TO 60mg/dL. Understand anything? I thought so.

One glance at these the doctor already knows what they mean. You don't, so please leave it to the experts. However, to appease you, these are the normal cholesterol level that we are talking about. Make sure that all levels are within normal, any increase will be dangerous; except the HDL. Make sure that that level is increased. If the other cholesterol level is increasing, make sure you know how to lower triglycerides from your system.

A high HDL or high density lipoprotein means that you are safe. The higher the number the better the results would be when you divide the LDL and total cholesterol result by it. The result is the cholesterol ratio which is more significant than the total cholesterol. People will ask how crucial the results are. The answer: very; it will mean life and death.

The patient will think that low or normal cholesterol level is good, and then how come it is bad? Again, a common mistake. The HDL has to be high, the rest have to be low, even if HDL is cholesterol, but then it is a good one, not bad like the LDL or even the VLDL.

So if the levels are high, how do you lower triglycerides is the next question. Diet and exercise. Avoid all animal products. Avoid alcohol and nicotine. No one needs explain why, we all know the reasons, and it is common knowledge. Take back your life and lower or bring to normal cholesterol level numbers in the blood test.
