The Effects of High Cholesterol Levels

Cholesterol is a natural fatty substance that is produced by the liver. It's in the cell walls, the blood and the body tissue. You get high cholesterol levels if you eat Cholesterol molecule with a high level of saturated fat.

Cholesterol is dangerous if a person has a high level. In low levels, cholesterol is important because it is needed for some body functions. We recommend that you don't eat a lot of saturated fat because if you get a high levels you're in the risk zone for the effects of high cholesterol levels such as heart attacks, strokes blood vessel injuries or even death! So try to reduce your cholesterol levels.

If you have a high level of Cholesterol you can eat healthy fats like Omega3 etc. This will reduce the cholesterol levels. For example don't buy butter made from dairy products, there is vegetable based butter that tastes just the same. Eat Omega 3 pills and cook fish instead of red meat once in a while.

How Do I Know If I Am In The Risk Zone?

If you're overweight or eat a lot of fatty foods like hamburgers, pizza etc. Go to your physician and let him/her do a health examination on you. If you are told you have a high level of cholesterol then it is really time to change your eating habits.

But at these times it's important that you look at the bigger picture. By eating an unhealthy diet now, your creating troubles for yourself in the future.
