Eating For a Diet - Why You're Struggling

As anyone who has ever tried eating for a diet can tell you, diets can be extremely difficult to keep up with especially for a long period of time. As a result, many dieters tend to eat cheat foods to feel satisfied, and ultimately end up ditching the diet altogether. This leads me to ask one simple question.

Is it really possible to lose a significant amount of body fat just by eating for a diet?

Simply put, the answer to this question is yes...assuming you stick to the diet of course.

The fact of the matter is that most people that are trying to lose weight get enough exercise, but the foods they eat prevent them from noticeably losing fat. To lose body fat, a healthy diet is 80% of the battle.

Problems with other diets you may have tried:

Emotional Eating

Ever been upset or angry and reached for that tub of ice cream? Foods like chocolate and ice cream cause our brain to release endorphins, blunting pain and resulting in a better mood. However, emotional eating can be your downfall when eating for a diet. To combat this, try eating at least 5 separate meals a day to fill your stomach.

Hollywood Fad Diets

Get real, no diet exists that is going to cause you to lose 15 pounds in one week. The reason celebrities often are able to lose weight is not because of their discipline in eating for a diet, but instead a result of the money they spend on trainers and personal chefs.

Low Fat Diets

In eating for a diet, low fat foods definitely have their place, but low fat foods do your body no good when they are high in calories.

High calories=Gain in Weight

Also, your body does require fat to absorb vitamins, regulate cholesterol levels, and provide energy. Therefore, eliminating your fat intake is not an effective way of eating for a diet.
